U.S. courts have ruled in favor of a family that suspects the child’s symptoms were caused by a vaccine the child received. All of this is true. However, what the press wants you to think is that this is a concession by the United States that there is a link between autism and vaccines. This is false.
First of all, the child was found to have autism-like symptoms, she was never diagnosed with autism. She also had a rare genetic, mitochondrial deficiency. Her symptoms were linked to the vaccine because, according to a time-line of symptoms, the vaccine may have exacerbated or exemplified her already underlying disease. This led to her to have autism-like symptoms. However, more than 5,000 people are now about to sue the government, claiming that vaccines caused their child’s autism.
The funny thing is, this “test case” was settled. If the lawyers of this case thought they had a class-action lawsuit in the wake with this case, they never would have settled. They would have forced a court ruling, in hopes to make a case for the other thousands of people.
The government has set up this fund to reward people who actually get injured by vaccines. They have done this to protect you, because for all those people who hate for their children to get vaccines, they know that if the vaccine causes harm to their child, they will be compensated. However, rarely does the vaccine cause harm, in this case, it was not proved to be the cause, it just was possible, and therefore the case was settled. In no way has there been a link to vaccines and autism. Sorry.

The case was not “settled”. The gov. looked at the evidence then conceded the case before it even went to a hearing. There is a difference. In vaccine court you cannot “force” a court ruling. The family had no option but to accept compensation.
Actually by conceding they look more guilty. Why didn’t they want a hearing?

1. It’s not the vaccines- it’s the mercury (thimerosal)
2. They are not trying to cash in in reaction to the Poling case. It is too late for new claim, unfortunately.
3. Autism is not a clear-cut disease. The symptoms are pretty much the indication of the disease. There is no autism microorganism of any specific set of indicators.
4. It is not clear that she already had the mitchondrial disorder- the mercury in the vaccines probably caused it.
5. And the lawyers didn’t settle- it was not a court decision. A panel of DOCTORS realized that, most likely, the vaccines caused the autism!
6. The reason for the fund is that the government KNOWS that a number of people will have horrific reaction to vaccines, always have. They are only now learning that, with the accellerated vaccine schedule, it’s more than they planned on.

Mercury can accumulate in mitochondria and causes
granular inclusions, which are visible with a scanning electron
micrograph.30 Oxidative stress occurs in vitro and in
vivo from both organic and inorganic mercury via their
high affinity for binding thiols (sulfur-containing molecules)
and the depletion of mitochondrial glutathione.27
The central nervous system is particularly sensitive to
damage by MeHg-induced glutathione depletion. In one
study, ex vivo human neurons, astrocytes, and neuroblastoma
cells were exposed for 24 hours to various levels of

Your idealism and enthusiasm is commendable and the obvious knowledge of the other commentators is awe inspiring. The fact remains that vaccines cause far more problems than reported in the press. Yes I am an ‘alternative’ therapist, also idealistic and after forty years in practice I have proven to countless people that our work is far more effective than most, but not all, chemical therapies. In my small practice alone, the common MMR vaccine has been the cause of of ‘locked joints’ in teenage patients who were vaccinated in childhood. This was not my diagnosis, I had to admit I had no idea why a girl in perfect health could not straighten her elbow and another had to limp while walking. The father of one of the girls admitted that the specialist mentioned mercury. Of course it is not cut and dried but there is no doubt that such cases do not make it into the public forum. Are the developers of these ‘medicines’ researching the side effects and the thousands of reports, or putting them into the basket reserved for ‘quacks comments’ like mine?

Let’s just take these one at a time:
“U have no idea” – if the patients in the case did not like the outcome of the compensation, why not fight harder? why not force a hearing in another court? Why not keep pushing?
“Fred” – 1. yep, forgot to mention it. Got caught up I guess. By the way, have you seen the new study in Arch. Gen. Psychiatry 65: 19-24 “Continuing Increases in Autism Reported to California’s Developmental Services System.” Since 2001, when thimerosal was eliminated from the market, no decrease in the incidence of autism was found, not even a little. 2. I realize that they have been there before, but you don’t think that they were hot on the heels of this case? 3. I agree. 4. In February 2004, a mitochondrial DNA (”mtDNA”) point mutation analysis revealed a single nucleotide change in the 16S ribosomal RNA gene (T2387C). Sorry, it was genetic. Thimerosal did not change her DNA. 5. They did not rule that the vaccines (or the thimersal) caused the autism. She was never diagnosed with autism. She had a genetic mitochondrial deficiency underlying the disease. “The child’s mitochondrial mutation is the primary cause of their neurological regression, but that this regression was exacerbated by the vaccine-induced encephalitis.” Exacerbation is different from causation. 6. I know that vaccines can cause horrible side effects. I see it only fair that if the government suggests vaccination, that any harm be dealt with fairly. I see no fault in the child’s case, just in the people who believe that the government admitted any link between vaccines and autism.
“joe” – I didn’t realize we were using “google search” as a reference…However, I do point out to the previous comments about the genetic disorder found in the child, the underlying cause of her encephalitis. I have no doubt that vaccines may have caused her symptoms, just not her “autism.” I also point at the study mentioned previous. If it’s the metals, it has been out for a long time, and the rate of autism dx has increased. That piece, however, was not found quickly by a google search…
“drgeoff” – I agree with you in that vaccines have rare effects, and that most people do not understand these effects, and more need to be reported. Reporting vaccine related reactions is fairly easy, and I wish more Doctors and Pharmacists would do it. Of course, like all medications, there are side effects. But as long as the benefits of not getting these diseases outweigh the risk, isn’t it worth it?

lead reseacher on the study in calif. for an hour ,we agreed that the flu vaccine
contained full strength 25 ug’s of ethyl-mercury and it was going into pregnant

full strenth 25-ug’s were going in even earlier than birth and full strenth in children
25-ug’s you see they had to put it back or the numbers would have fallen, or they
expected it would. These people at the CDC have no conscience when it comes to children I also reminded him of the other heavy metals and toxins in the vaccines.

actions of a child . Did you know Donald T was the first child dx by kanner and a
reporter went in search of him and found his brother . the reporter asked wheres
Donald t his brother responded that he is in scottland golfing. The reporter ask how is that possible he had severe autism . His brother said his quirkyness left when he had
gold salts for his child hood artheritis. You see this seems to be the first chealated,
and sucessfull, because gold salts is a chealator.
